Our December Theme is  – “It’s a Wonderful Life”

Call for Art – It’s a Wonderful Life
This theme celebrates community, gratitude, resilience, and the ripple effect of kindness—reminding us that every life makes a difference.
Guidelines & Inspiration
Subject matter: Scenes, feelings, or interpretations —hope, love, sacrifice, small-town life, friendship, and the magic of second chances.
Mediums: All mediums welcome—painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, digital art, fiber, ceramics, and beyond.
Tone: Works may reflect nostalgia, holiday spirit, or contemporary reinterpretations of the film’s message. Literal or abstract approaches are both encouraged.
Important Details
• Submission Deadline: November 17
• Artwork Drop-off: December 8
• Exhibition Date: December 13
• Location: Starline Factory in Harvard, IL
Entry Requirements
• All work must be ready to hang or display.
• Clearly label artwork with artist name, title, medium, and price.
•  $25 for 3 entries

We do not require the theme to enter art in the show.

 

The Starline Art Event – hosts a Junior Starline section of the show. Now artists 13-18 years old and 5-12 will have the opportunity to show and sell their artwork in the same venue as the traditional Starline artists. The Junior artists will compete with other Junior artists in their age category for prizes and medals. Junior artists can learn about the process of entering, showing, and competing in a professional art show and must meet the specifications detailed in the Starline Art Event Prospectus. Each Junior artist may enter up to two pieces of 2D or 3D art including sculpture, photography, mixed media, digital art, fiber art, installation art, etc., by completing the online Junior Call for Art. 

The fee to Enter: FREE for Juniors!

2 Categories for 2 age groups – Junior 13-18 years old and Elementary-Junior 5-12 years old.
