I am an award-winning artist who works in layers, either with colored pencil or with beeswax. My style ranges from realism to abstract.
Demonstration:
My art is about exploring ways to let what is inside out with emphasis on joy and color. My art varies from the beauty of photography, to the fine detail of colored pencil to the versatile and spontaneous encaustic painting. Encaustic painting has taught me to let go and get lost in its creation, and my hope is that others can get lost in my art or be inspired to try something new. I will be demonstrating how to use melted wax and heat (encaustic painting) to create paintings with additional techniques. This is just a brief into to this ancient art form.
