“FamilyRebirth” was inspired by changes in my immediate family.
Changes that brought more independence on my part while caring for my children.
“Coalescence”…One of the most beautiful times in a women’s life. the nurturing of a new life. A private time to renew your hope for the future, to nest, to form a family.
It has become a public issue…women’s right to control. Medical care, birth control. Other voices are entering the quiet of this creative time. The child within cannot hear the tumult in the courts, in the congress.
Hope for the future…a child is born..life goes on.
Background story, Depicting the interconnection of all organic elements of life.and death. but my inspiration comes from there eco-mind that we are all co-creators, all participants in allowing our world to flourish. As a child I was fascinated by the beautiful embryos tin jars at the museum.As an art student I drew from embryos looked like tiny carvings at a medical school.the miracle of giving birth to my children is intensified by witnessing the birth my grandchildren.
