After 30 years as a mechanical designer/CAD 3D modeler I retired and and am writing songs and making art, life long passions of mine. I work in many different styles and mediums, oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor, pen and ink drawing, graphite drawing, cut paper, outdoor mural. The main body of my work is trains. Keeping with one subject matter simplified my decisions about what to paint next and allowed me to explore mediums and styles with each piece.
But I also do other subjects. The next largest body of my work is trees. I was fortunate enough, along with fellow artist photographer Debbie Walker, to have a dual show The Forest Through The Trees in ’25 at Art Pie gallery in Waukegan.
Just this year I branched out into abstract with pen and ink drawings and acrylic painting.
