Harvard Milk Day Posters at the Starline Factory
Harvard Milk Days is right around the corner and the Starline Factory is highlighting 14 of the 36 Harvard Milk Days posters in the Upper Gallery of the Starline Factory building until June 3. The featured posters include samples from the collection loaned to the Starline from the Milk Days Committee in Harvard. The poster contest began in 1988 and continues today. Come see the Milk Days posters in person by visiting the Starline Stanchion Pub and requesting a map to the posters or come to 4th Friday, May 26th.
Barn Quilts & Milk Days Posters
Come to the Starline Factory to see a selection of 14 of the Harvard Milk Days posters curated with “Barn Quilts” by featured artist Martie Wartalski. Martie has created her interpretation of the historic barn quilts that can be seen on barns throughout McHenry County. Martie’s wood quilt blocks are designed to be displayed indoors to bring a little of the farm inside.
The display will be available for viewing in the Upper Gallery during the Starline Factory 4th Friday Event on May 26 from 6-10 PM. The 4th Friday event includes art galleries, a juried art show, 2 bands, demonstration artists and more!
